The City Runs Again
Surabaya Marathon celebrates the energy, resilience, and vibrant spirit of the City of Heroes. First launched in 2017 as a city event supported by the Surabaya City Government under the leadership of Mayor Tri Rismaharini, the race quickly became a highlight of the city's sporting calendar. Held successfully in 2017, 2018, and 2019, Surabaya Marathon brought together thousands of runners from across Indonesia and around the world to experience the excitement of running through the heart of one of Indonesia's most dynamic cities.
Following a pause due to the global pandemic, Surabaya Marathon proudly returns in 2026 with renewed energy. Now presented by Le Minerale and supported by the Surabaya City Government under Mayor Eri Cahyadi, the event continues its mission to promote an active lifestyle while celebrating the unique character and hospitality of Surabaya.
Runners can take part in four race categories — Full Marathon (42.195 km), Half Marathon (21.1 km), 10K, and 5K — each offering a memorable journey through the streets of Surabaya. Initiated by the Asosiasi Pengelola Pusat Belanja Indonesia (APPBI), Surabaya Marathon also stands out for welcoming both Indonesian and international runners across three competition divisions: Open, National, and Master, making it one of the most inclusive running events in the region.
Whether pursuing a personal best, enjoying the city's atmosphere, or simply celebrating the joy of running, Le Minerale Surabaya Marathon 2026 invites runners of all backgrounds to be part of the city's running revival.
